Everyone is encouraged to team up with people from the same country to showcase your cuisine together.
This is a great opportunity for 1st and 2nd-year MSc Geomatics students to come together, share food from their countries, and celebrate our diverse community. After dinner, we'll head to the city center for drinks! 🍹

GEOS Movie Night!
After the successful Intergeo 2023, GEOS is back with a fun movie night event. Let’s create some more memories together, shall we? This Thursday we are grabbing snacks and drinks and we are watching “The Man Who Knew Infinity.” This film is about Indian math genius Srinivasa Ramanujan and his passion for science that led him to the other side of the world! After the end of the movie, we are also open to discussion and impressions. Be on time and there will be no pre-movie ads…

Intergeo 2023
Hello dear Geomatics students
We hope you’re having a great summer vacation. As every year, GEOS is hosting the trip to Intergeo 2023, which is happening in Berlin, Germany from 10 Oct to 12 Oct this year. We are covering transport, stay and tickets to the expo.
It is a great opportunity for both the new students joining this year, and also to the students already studying to explore industry side of Geomatics, and also to have loads of fun.

Geobuzz 2023
This year edition of Geobuzz is happening on 21 & 22 June in Amersfoort, spanning two days. Geobuzz is the largest geospatial event in the Netherlands, and the best part is that entry to the event is absolutely free! Get your tickets, and for more information, click here and here.
Few caveats to be noted:
On 21 June, 1st-year students will have an Intro session for thesis preparation in Room C at 11:00 AM. Clara posted about it on Discord.
The GeoBuzz student program is only on 22 June. It’s from 10:00 to 16:00.
The main theme of the student is ’The Starting Career’. Students can get acquainted with the geo-sector and the attending companies.
Schedule:
10:00 - free visit to the exhibition
11:45 - area for the student program is open with free lunch for the students (normally, the lunch is paid for by visitors)
12:15 - Kick-off by Jong GIN and Geobusiness Nederland. Followed by a panel discussion aimed at building a career.
13:00 - students can interact with geo sector professionals by speed dates with exhibitors.
14:00 - 16:00 - you can return to the exhibition or attend other presentations. Also, there is a special career square where students can get their CVs checked and get a professional LinkedIn profile picture.
Our partner Voort is considering providing transportation for us. To have an estimate and make necessary arrangements, some info on how many geomatics students are interested in attending is required.

CGI Pubquiz in Delft
One of our partners of GEOS, CGI, is organizing a pubquiz event for GEOS (TUD Geomatics), NODE (GIMA) and Snellius (TUD Geoscience & Remote Sensing) students!!
It will be the moment to have fun and mingle with fellow students and employees at CGI.
The event starts at 17:00 and goes till 19:30 on June 14. Pubquiz is right here in Delft; make sure to attend and have a blast of a time.

Voort GIS BBQ: Grill & Chill
Voort GIS is organizing Grill & Chill BBQ on June 9, Friday. The event starts at 17:00 and goes till 20:30. We will visit Voort’s campus in Utrecht and have a wonderful evening with industry experts and fellow students from GIMA, Geodesy, Spatial Planning, Remote Sensing & Geo-information Sciences students. It’s a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and connections.
Program:
Geo-data analyst experts from Voort will present on the current Geo-market. Followed by BBQ and free drinks. Further, a workshop on “How to network at Geo events”.
Travelling is arranged for us Geomatics students by Voort, a bus will pick up at 16:00 near BK and will drop us back at around 21:30.

Pioneering Game Show
One of the partners of GEOS, Enginear, are organizing Pioneering Game Show on Friday, May 12, 2023 in the centre of Utrecht. to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Enginear!
It's FREE to get a personal ticket (Round-trip transportation costs need to be paid by yourself): Go to www.enginear.nl/spelshow or www.baanbreakingspelshow.nl and scroll down and then click on the big one red login button. This will take you to the login page. Enter all your details there and accept the terms and conditions. If everything is OK, you will receive a separate email with your personal access card within a few days.
Notice: the capacity of the location is limited, and therefore also the number of available tickets. But real Enginear partners like you get one from us head Start. You (and your members) have until April 1 to sign up and get a free, personal ticket. After that we will promote the event widely and the tickets will be used up quickly. So take advantage of that head start and claim those tickets quickly, because gone = gone!
3rd BK Master Drinks
On Wednesday, 10th of May 2023, the BK Master Drinks will be hosted again at Bouwpub by GEOS, BouT, OBSS, and Polis!! We see the opportunity to establish better connectivity between different master tracks by means of chatting, drinking beer, and having communal dinner (we have amazing Surinamese Roti) with master peers!!
Make the most of this last drinks and dinner event before summer break; get your friends along and have fun! 😁
The entry fee is €5 for each Geomatics student and €8.5 for non-Geomatics students. You will get a meal of vegetarian Surinam Roti, two drinks, and play some amazing games, like beer pong tournament🍺🍺. The door will be open at 17.00.

New-year Dinner
After the long vacation, we will have dinner together to celebrate the new year. The location is the Hangout on campus. The dinner and the drinks will be provided by GEOS. After the dinner, we will go to a local bar called tango.
